Bob’s Trash Service

Terms of Service

Cans and Bins

All trash must be placed in a Bob’s trash can (provided by Bob himself), a standard trash can or tied plastic bags. Bob’s offers a 96-gallon wheeled trash cart , when possible we try to use recycled containers to help keep costs down. These containers are cleaned and sanitized before delivery. Up to two extra wheeled trash cans are available for an additional fee per month. Upon request and for an additional fee, new containers may be provided. If your can needs repair or replacement, please call our office or contact us via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please remember, the customer is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and retention of all provided containers. There will be a fee for any wheeled can in need of repair or replacement due to negligence or misuse. Trash cans remain the property of Bob’s Trash Service and are provided to our customers for the duration of service.  Customers may use their own recycling containers or for a nominal fee, Bob will provide bins/can.

Pickup and Setout Requirements

We attempt to maintain the same scheduled service days unless otherwise notified (See Cancellations and Delays). It is difficult to duplicate pickup times due to uncontrollable circumstances that we may encounter day to day. To help ensure pickup, please have your trash and recycling staged and ready for pickup the night before service. Bob's will only take household trash generated at the service address.  Although we will try to take all trash put out at the curb, we do reserve the right to limit pickup to one 96 gallon can and one 30 gallon can.  Reminder: For safety reasons trash placed out in bags weighing in excess of 50 pounds will not be picked up.

Cancellations and Delays

Bob’s Trash Service at certain time may need to cancel or delay collection services due to weather, disasters, or emergencies of uncontrollable circumstances.  Areas that remain unserviceable will be delayed until it is determined that our crews can operate safely and unobstructed.  When delays in service occur our crews will run all accessible routes as normal and continue into the next day until the route is complete.  For up to date information concerning delays and cancellations, please visit our website www.BobsTrashService.com .  We will make every effort to provide service as conditions allow.  There will be no adjustment made to your bill for cancellations or delays.

Holidays

We do not provide service on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day, to allow our employees to spend time with their families.  Depending on landfill and transfer station availability, we may be closed on other holidays as well.  If your service day falls on a holiday, please check our web site www.BobsTrashService.com for continuous updates or call our Customer Service Center for updates at 443-684-2234.

Bob’s Will Not Pickup

Flammable products, Oil, paint, tires, animal carcasses, manure, tree stumps, dirt, stone, rock, brick, lead, acid/wet cell batteries, railroad ties, toxic materials, bio-hazardous materials or waste,  mother in laws, propane/oxygen/helium tanks, items containing gas or oil, explosives, live ammunition or weapons, large amounts of animal waste, bags weighing more than 50 pounds or any items that cannot be safely loaded by our crews for removal or any items that may damage our hauling equipment.  Contact us if you have any questions with what is and is not acceptable.

Scope of Our Responsibility

Bob’s Trash Service will not be responsible for any items, large or small left within 10 feet of the curb line.  Bob’s is also not responsible for personal trash cans or lids (except for the very durable Bob’s wheeled trash and recycle bins that have been assigned to you) or cans that are packed too tightly.

Safety Considerations

Tying lids to trash containers may endanger our employees.  Sharp objects, such as needles, razor blades, and knives, should be placed inside of durable plastic bottles, sealed with tape, then place in the trash and marked accordingly.  Since ashes remain hot for several days, store in a metal container outside of your house for a week prior to putting them out for pickup.

Other Considerations

Do not store valuable or important items in plastic trash bags.  It is too easy for you to mix up the trash.  Please use common sense in leaving items near your trash can on collection days.  Our crews are trained to do a thorough job.  Therefore, anything left within 10 feet of the collection area or curb line may be collected as trash.  Display your address prominently at your service location.  This not only aids our collection crews but emergency vehicles as well.

Payments

Bills are mailed every three months and payment is due upon receipt.  Be sure to:

·         Make checks payable to Bob’s Trash Service

·         Write your service address on the check

Term and Service Cancellation

This agreement is for (2) two years and will automatically renew if not cancelled (60) sixty days prior to end of agreement. You must personally notify our office in advance by phone when you plan to move, cancel, or transfer service. Unless we are notified in advance, you will remain responsible for the accrued monthly charges. Upon cancellation of service, the trash can and bins will be scheduled for removal and an equipment collection and reconditioning fee will be applied to your account.  If the equipment is not recovered, or is lost or stolen, then the account will be charged a fee to cover the cost of our lost property. Refunds, if due, will processed within 60 days of cancellation.

Special Pick Up

Our crews will collect all the household trash that is generated weekly by our customers and placed at the curb or home depending on your selected service plan.   For household clean out, appliances, furniture, construction material and other large or bulky miscellaneous items we require a scheduled pickup with at least 24 hours notice.  The fee for bulk pickups will be determined at the time of pickup, an estimate can be made when you call to schedule.  Please call our office in advance to schedule your pickup of these items.

Recycling

Bob’s provides single-stream recycling collection; this means you do not have to separate materials.  Please see the recycling page at www.BobsTrashService.com for a list of acceptable materials.  Recycling service is not available in all areas.

Yard Waste Collection

Yard waste is considered a special pickup and therefore not included in the standard rate.  All yard waste to be collected must be prepared accordingly and placed to the curb for collection.  Note:  Composting, chipping and mulching are great ways to recycle your yard waste.  These products can be used to improve the overall health of your lawn and garden as well as benefit the environment.  It is our goal to pickup what is set out for collection.  Brush and limbs must be cut into easily manageable lengths.  Grass clippings, leaves and twigs can be placed in paper bags or plastic bags.  Please call to schedule a special pickup.
